How to Meet Your Driver at Heathrow, Gatwick & Stansted Airport

Landing after a long flight is stressful enough without having to hunt for your driver. At Prestige Airport Transfers Cambridge, we monitor your flight in real time and always send you your driver’s name, vehicle details and contact number before you land. But knowing exactly where to go when you come through arrivals makes everything faster and easier.

Here’s a clear guide to meeting your driver at each airport we serve.

Meeting Your Driver at Heathrow Airport

Heathrow has five terminals (T2, T3, T4 and T5 — Terminal 1 is permanently closed), so the first step is always knowing which terminal your flight arrives into. You can check this on your booking confirmation or on the Heathrow website before you travel.

Terminal 2 (The Queen’s Terminal) Your driver will be waiting in the Arrivals hall on the ground floor. The main meeting point is opposite the International Arrivals exit, close to the Costa Coffee and Information Desk. Look for your name on a board as you exit baggage reclaim.

Terminal 3 There are two meeting point locations inside the Arrivals hall. One is opposite the Travelex Currency Exchange, and the other is near the WH Smith. Your driver will be holding a name board — head to the one you can see first, as both are clearly signposted.

Terminal 4 Meeting point is on the ground floor of Arrivals, just beside WH Smith. Your driver will be waiting there with a name board after you collect your luggage.

Terminal 5 (British Airways) Terminal 5 has two official meeting points inside the Arrivals hall: the North Meeting Point (opposite Travelex) and the South Meeting Point (near Costa Coffee). Your driver will confirm which one they are at via SMS before you land.

Important: Vehicles cannot wait on the Heathrow terminal forecourt. Heathrow uses ANPR cameras to issue automatic fines to any vehicle waiting outside. Your driver will be parked in the Short Stay car park and will come to meet you inside the terminal.

Meeting Your Driver at Gatwick Airport

Gatwick has two separate terminals — North Terminal and South Terminal — with their own arrivals halls and pick-up zones. It’s essential to know which terminal your flight uses before we pick you up. As a general guide, easyJet (some routes), Emirates and TUI tend to use the North Terminal, while British Airways and Ryanair typically use the South Terminal — but always confirm on the day, as allocations can change.

North Terminal For Meet & Greet bookings, your driver will be waiting inside the Arrivals hall near Pret A Manger. For standard pick-up, the designated Express Pick Up zone is located in Short Stay Car Park 6 on Level 4. Your driver will message you with their exact bay once they are parked and ready.

South Terminal For Meet & Greet bookings, your driver will be waiting near Pret A Manger in the Arrivals hall. For standard pick-up, the Express Pick Up zone is in Short Stay Car Park 3 on the Ground Floor. Follow signs for Short Stay as you exit the terminal.

Tip: Once you have collected all your bags, send your driver a message. This allows them to enter the pick-up zone at exactly the right moment, avoiding unnecessary parking charges and keeping your journey moving smoothly.

Meeting Your Driver at Stansted Airport

Stansted is a single-terminal airport, which makes it much simpler to navigate. Once you clear customs and collect your luggage, your meeting options are straightforward.

Meet & Greet (inside the terminal) Your driver will be waiting in the International Arrivals hall with a name board. The two most recognised landmarks are the BHRC Information Desk and Costa Coffee — your driver will be positioned near one of these. For domestic arrivals, the usual meeting point is near the Café Modena area.

Standard Pick-Up (Express Set Down) For standard transfers, the pick-up point is the Express Set Down area (Zone D) on Floor 1, signposted as “Free Set Down” inside the terminal. Once you have your bags and are ready to exit, call or WhatsApp your driver. They will be parked nearby and will come to you promptly.

Important: The Stansted forecourt has a strict 10-minute grace period. Always wait until you are bags-in-hand and ready to walk to the vehicle before contacting your driver — this keeps waiting to an absolute minimum for both of you.

What to Do If You Can’t Find Your Driver

If you’ve arrived at the correct meeting point and cannot see your driver, don’t panic. Your confirmation email contains your driver’s mobile number — give them a quick call. Our drivers also monitor flight arrivals in real time, so if your flight was delayed or arrived early, they will already have adjusted accordingly.
